New Leaf

I'm going to attempt a ressurection here. I told you, I'm not going to be good at this thing but I'll endeavor to improve! :)

Let's get caught up. TONS going on right now. I definitely returned last week from a fabulous weekend in New York. I was a New York virgin and let me tell you...it was just as amazing as I imagined it would be. I'm in love with that city. In. Love.

I'm not a big picture taker...I'm working on that as well...but I love pictures like this. Pictures with all sorts of life going on in them.

My two lovely tour guides for the weekend..

This trip was an early birthday gift from the best friend ... safe to say it’s pretty untouchable.

My 2009 travel itenerary is in full swing. I'm headed to Ireland in July and am already mentally preparing myself for that trip. I'm not a big flyer. At all. I'd swim to Ireland if it were possible...but I'm super excited to go!

In other news, my roommate is getting married in July and I'm her MOH. Another one bites the dust! It is wedding central around here and I think a nice vaca in Ireland is just the ticket to ride out the nuptial aftermath. I can't wait!

AND I'm moving soon. Boo. One of my least favorite things to do...but I guess it's inevitable when leases expire and roommates get hitched! So, here we go! Onto the next chapter...

The Women in My Life

Happy Mom's Day!

I am so very lucky to have such strong, brilliant and beautiful women in my life. I'm a blessed girl!

My sister (Randee), Mama, Mama2 (grandmother), and me

My Great-Grandma, MawMaw, and Randee

My Granny and cousin Hunter

Also, probably one of my favorite signs ever. :) So true.

Feeling Emo

I think this gloomy weather is beginning to seep into my brain. Being from the Houston area, I'm accustomed to air sticking to my skin and doing wonders for my hair.

But I expected more from you Dallas. I’m disappointed in you to say the least.

I've had this insistent urge to lounge at home in the dark and listen to the Goo Goo Dolls...and do other emo-ish things. I'm a very amaturish emo...but you catch my drift.

Speaking of wondrous hair, my Chi was promoted to glory this morning. R.I.P.

I can’t tell you how much that alone will screw with my week. The sound that emitted from my mouth when that little red dot stopped blinking…. you would have thought my new born child was being ripped from my arms.

I think the Chi took one look at this weather and knew that its work in this life had come to an end. There was no helping my fro on this day.

Well, I’m planning a fabulous rebound from this weather. There is much fun to be had this weekend. I can’t let this rain get the best of me! Happy Friday to all my new blog friends!!

Ginny

P.S.: I lost some serious water weight watching Grey’s tonight. Could this get any more depressing?!

I think it's time for some Goo Goo Dolls...

Here we go...

Hey kids!

Ok, so I caved. I’m not sure how long this cave-in will actually last but I’m going to enjoy it in the meantime.

I’m a little self conscious about starting a blog. Part of me wonders, “Who on earth is going to care about what I have to say?!”

Then the other part of me responds...”That’s never stopped you before!”

So here I am! Can’t wait to see where it goes and you’re more than welcome to join along!

Blessings to all who stumble across my poor ramblings....Lord help us all...
